Designed for a multidisciplinary audience of dispatchers, law enforcement, prosecutors, probation officers, judges, court administrators, advocates, batterers’ group facilitators, related human service providers, community leaders and activists. This 1 or 2 day training provides participants with an opportunity to broaden their understanding of the criminal justice Coordinated Community Response (CCR) model. Participants will learn:
• Assumptions and principles that guide inter-agency interventions in these cases
• Individual agency as well as collective goals, roles and tasks in a CCR
• How to assess the effectiveness of current agency interventions
• How to enhance responses through:
o Inter-agency policy and procedural development
o Inter-agency systems of accountability
o Coordination of information gathering and dissemination
o Case review and consultation
o Individual and cross skills-based training program
We will plan the agenda carefully with you to provide the fundamentals of a CCR while offering specialized topics that fit your community, address local gaps in understanding and help your inter-agency team build a shared vision in the community.
In order for organizers and participants to derive maximum benefit from the training, we suggest that other technical assistance options are also selected, such as:
